La Comer is a company dedicated to retail trade in self-service stores. It operates a group of supermarkets focused on the sale of perishable products, groceries, gourmet items, pharmaceuticals, and general merchandise. Today, the company operates 91 self-service stores under various formats, and in 2025 it will launch a new restaurant concept with a gourmet store. In total, in 2025 it will have a sales area of approximately 418,462 square meters, concentrated mainly in the Mexico City metropolitan area, where 46 units are located (including two stores in the municipalities of Metepec and Avándaro, State of Mexico), representing 50% of its total stores. Another 10 stores are located in the state of Querétaro, 8 stores in the state of Jalisco, 5 stores in each of the states of Guanajuato and Baja California Sur, 4 stores in the state of Morelos, 3 stores in each of the states of Puebla and Nuevo León, two stores in the state of Michoacán, and one store in each of the following states: Guerrero, Nayarit, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Quintana Roo, and Colima. The Company owns approximately 62% of the total sales area, with the remaining sales area located in premises leased from different owners. The Company also operates 420 commercial premises located in shopping centers alongside its stores. It also has three distribution centers.
It has been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange since January 4, 2016. Currently, 44% represents the floating capital for the investing public.
